Speech Time Calculator is free to use for personal, educational, and commercial purposes. No account or sign-up is required, and we do not charge for any feature.

2. Estimates are guidance, not guarantees

Speaking and reading times are estimates based on the pace you select. Actual delivery depends on pauses, emphasis, audience interaction, and many other factors. Always rehearse before an important presentation.

3. Your privacy

All calculations happen locally in your browser. Text you enter is never uploaded to our servers. Drafts you keep are stored only in your own browser's local storage, which you can clear at any time using the Clear button or your browser settings. If you contact us, we use your message only to respond.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for any unlawful purpose. The website and its design, text, and code are our property and may not be copied or redistributed without permission, except for short quotations with attribution.
